Q: Introduce yourself… don’t get all shy on us either!

A: My name is Amy Duncan and I crave all things progress and passion. On the daily, I run my company, Mowellens, a conscious CBD wellness company. On the side, I’m a wife to my husband of 7.5 years. Plants mean more to me than my pets… two dogs and a bearded dragon named Magic. I grew up in the Midwest in St Louis Missouri and moved to California five years ago. Cali is much more aligned with my mindset and way of living – a combination of innovation, hustle, and health.

I’ve lived a rather unique life as my husband played professional baseball and won a World Series with the St Louis Cardinals. A year after being married he was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. This is when my ambitions were able to take over to support our family.

My career started in medical sales and I quickly climbed the ranks to COO of a genetics laboratory. I then did some sales consulting while building Mowellens and eventually transitioned to focus solely on the growth of my company. The entrepreneurial journey has been the most fulfilling, isolating, invigorating, challenging pursuit of my life. I believe in the female drive, mindset, and pursuit of dreams.

I believe in mastering switches, including the switch of self love, to “do it all”. I call my goals my dreams when speaking with people… because they seem so far fetched. My vision for the future is very very clear and I execute on this vision everyday.

Q: Three things you cannot live without

A: 1. my almond milk matcha latte with Inner Peace CBD 2. an amazing workout where I’m drenched in sweat followed by a green juice 3. Outdoor adventures with my husband… a forest hike, a beach walk, or a trip to Bora Bora. 😉

Q: Outside of being a CBD trailblazer, what makes you tick?

A: Progress. I live for progress and the journey in everything I do. The drive inside me doesn’t go away and rarely settles. If I’m not learned and doing then I’m static and restless. As a Gemini, I balance opposing viewpoints often… in business it’s science and marketing, in my relationships it’s my viewpoint and taking a Ben Duffy approach*, and in general it’s macro and micro perspectives. Small progress over time is what has gotten me to where I am and I’m not programmed to let up anytime soon.

Q: Define Self Love and what it means to you

A: For me, self love is turning inward to figure out who you are at your core and then never steering from that, letting anyone shift it, and ultimately sharing that core soul person with the world. Self love is more than doing things which make you feel good. It’s clearing away and eliminating those thoughts, people, environments, and experiences that detract from us living our best life, our true self. Once we are able to clear those things away we unveil our true energy and live and love without apprehension. A dedication and commitment to this journey is self love.

Q: Favorite Quote of the moment?

A: Earl Nightingale — ‘Never give up on a dream just because of the time it will take to accomplish it. The time will pass anyway.’

self love is turning inward to figure our who you are at your core and then never steering from that

Seriously so inspired by the woman! Thank you for sharing our time with us Amy and if you haven’t checked out her brand yet make sure to give them a follow over on instagram and seriously spend some time on their gorgeous website!

*A great way to avoid “No” is to use what master salesmen call the “Ben Duffy” approach. It deals with the “no’s” upfront. It is honest, open and addresses technical and emotional issues. This approach is also a little counter-intuitive so you won’t sound like a used car salesman with a pitch.
