Self Love Sunday Q&A: Adeline Waugh of @vibrantandpure
Here’s my question: Do you remember the Mermaid Toast that took over the internet al la a Kim K moment? Does the instagram handle @vibrantandpure ring a bell? PEOPLE! If you answered negatron to either of these questions then get your little booty (aka fingers) over to the ‘gram and follow, follow, follow.
Here’s the deal, I met Adeline on the ‘gram and shared with her my casual obsession with her and we’ve been following each other ever since. The beauty of social media is you truly make friends who support you in all aspects of your business. From a like, to a comment, to taking the time to be interviewed for your blog. I just love that!
Oh and her mermaid toast was a major player in my inspiration board for this very website so there’s that juicy fact! Without further adieu let’s jump into the interview.

Q: Introduce yourself… don’t get all shy on us either!
A: Well, for starters my name is Adeline Waugh (my nickname is Addie) I am from Bethesda, Maryland a suburb right outside of Washington D.C. I live in Miami now with my fiancé. It’s hard to define exactly what I “do” when asked but I dabble in food styling + photography, content creation, recipe development, and most recently cookbook writing!
Q: Three things you cannot live without
A: Arash, my fiancé, my family, and coffee (the coffee love is real!)
Q: Outside of being a food stylist, what makes you tick?
A: I love expressing with color and I just love being creative in general- I love painting, interior design, and fashion- I’d love to find a way to dip my toe in all of these different worlds!
Q: Define Self Love and what it means to you
A: to me, self love is valuing yourself and treating yourself as you would your closest loved ones. It’s easy to take care of everything and everyone but yourself, and when you’re not taking care of yourself you’re not really helping anyone. I think it’s also so important to indulge and let loose every so often.
Q: Favorite Quote of the moment?
A: It’s very common and a classic- but my favorite is probably “This too shall pass”- I like to think back to times when I thought life was awful, or thought whatever I was going through would never end- and then realize where I am now. Life is always changing and we’re always evolving, nothing is permanent.
Friends, Addie is a gorgeous soul inside and out and most importantly knows how to make food frickin’ gorgeous! She’s definitely an inspiration and I’m so excited to experience her cook book when it finally comes out! Thank you for being here and I’ll see you next Sunday.
